Match report First game for the newly formed 3rd XI in the Newark Club Cricket Alliance.

After losing the toss, Kegworth were sent in to bat first. (Exactly what captain Weedon would have done anyway - Result!)

A strong batting line up saw Luke Woolley and the great Glyn Isaac open the batting.

Superb timing, shot selection and skill by both openers made sure Kegworth got off to a excellent start.

With the official club photographer present, all was set for Eddie Storr to go big on his return.....Unfortunately a slight misjudgement had the 1st teamer out for 7 - Great to have you back Eddie!

Big hitting and quick runs by Bill White (34), Jon Cantrill (38 not out) and David Wall (31not out) got Kegworth to a superb total of 263 for 4 wickets from 40 overs.

Opening the bowling Gaeth Isaac and Jet Harding.

Gareth bowled well, accurate and quick. Jet struggled a little after an injury ridden winter....

Economical bowling by Captain Lee Weedon, Glyn Isaac and Andrew Smith. Luke Woolley stole the show bowling the last 3 overs for 3 runs and 3 wickets!

Good start to the league!
