You Asked, We Delivered – Our clubhouse is getting a major makeover!
In our recent club survey, one of the strongest messages we received was about the clubhouse, members told us they wanted a more modern, welcoming, and social space that better reflects the spirit of Kegworth Town Cricket Club.
We listened.
We’re thrilled to announce today that we will be carrying out a major pavilion makeover, backed by funding and support from the Leicestershire Cricket Foundation (LCF) in conjunction with the ECB County Grants Fund under their Creating Welcoming Environments – Social Space scheme.
This project will deliver a full refurbishment, designed to enhance the experience for everyone involved with the club and encourage wider community use in the future and create a space where players, families, and supporters can truly come together.
We’ve worked closely with our sponsors Turner Wall Architects to bring the vision to life, and thanks to them we are excited to share the proposed design video below!
Club Chair Gareth Isaac said the investment marks an exciting new chapter:
“Our pavilion has served generations of players and supporters, but it’s time to make it a space that truly brings people together. With the Foundation’s support, we’re creating a welcoming environment that reflects the club’s values and opens more opportunities for community involvement.”
The funding will cover materials required for the refurbishment, but the work to bring the vision to reality will need to be done by our members and supporters. So all those of you who said you could volunteer with time and skills, we will soon be asking you to do just that!
The club would like to extend their thanks to Mark Hudson, Clubs and League Officer for the Leicestershire Cricket Foundation, for all his hard work and support throughout the application process. Mark commented:
"Over the past few years, this club has achieved something special. You have built strong senior teams and created real pathways for young people to discover cricket through All Stars, Dynamos, and your growing girls’ programme. That progress strengthens the future of the game.
When I heard about plans to update the bar area, I knew it was worth supporting. A clubhouse is more than bricks and paint. It is a place where players, parents, and supporters come together, share stories, and celebrate.
By improving this space, we are investing in the heart of the club. I am proud to support the project and excited to see the results."
We hope that work on the refurbishment will begin soon, with completion scheduled ahead of the 2026 season.
This is another huge step forward for KTCC, creating the facilities and social spaces our members asked for in the survey, and that our community deserves.
Thank you to everyone who shared feedback in the survey, your voices continue to shape the future of KTCC.
We encourage you all to stay tuned to the website and social media channels for further investment and improvements to facilities as Kegworth Town continues to build for the future.
