Match report Another convincing victory for the Under 13s.

The win could have been even more emphatic if they managed to come to terms more readily with the sloping Shepshed pitch and the stiff breeeze. 22 of the 29 runs came from wide deliveries and each bowler bowled at least one wide.

In favourable bowling conditions Will Wade took a wicket in the first over and followed this up in his third with a second finishing on 2 for 5. Tim Berridge the other opener was unlucky to finish wicket-less with 7 conceded from his three overs.

Chris Ellis also took a wicket in his first over as did Will Such and between the two seven wickets were taken for 12 runs in their six over spell, both bowlers finishing with lifetime bests, Chris taking 4 for 8 and Will 3 for 4, before Alex Davies completed the innings.

The bowlers were better supported by the field, Ben Hooper taking a catch behind and making a stumping, whilst Noddy Johnson held a sharp chance at slip off the leg-spinner.

Facing a relatively low total, the batting order was modified to accommodate the younger players and 4 wickets fell before Michael Lynch & Jordan Davies brought the team home.
