Match report The second league fixture for the 3rd team, away to Burton Joyce.

The star sprinkled team’s biggest problem was getting around a road closure on the way to the ground. After overcoming that hurdle, captain cool, Lee Weedon, proceded to loose the toss and get put in to bat on ‘tricky’ wicket.
Woolley and Hodge opened getting us of to a reasonable start. A. Smith and J Gourlay (pronounced ‘GIRL-EEE’) add valuable runs with good batting performances.

The skipper was left contemplating his place in the side after losing his wicket to a half tracker from an 11 year old. –Never mind-
Isaac, batted brilliantly, using good cricket with some good bullying... another not out!

Good batting left us with 232 for 8....

Bowling...... All bowlers bowled well;
Isaac: reliable and steady,
Jet Harding: good line, length and pace.
Hardy actually turned one! (well, pitched it anyway)
A. Blackhall, steady and in the wickets!!!
L .Neal............ bowling full tilt at juniors!

Burton Joyce were bowled out for 61. We really did bowl that well!
