Match report Kegworth went to Loughborough Carillon 2 players short with a very young team.

some very competent batsmen got Carillon to a total of 149 runs for 2. The 2 wickets were taken by Bradley Frost and Tom Ginty and Tom Ginty very bravely denied Carillon getting to 150 by blocking a massive smash.

With a big score to chase kegworth's main target was to bat out all 20 overs. Kegworth acheived this with some good defensive work. Few batsmen scored although George did get a run and ran on a bye, Bradley also got a run before getting caught. Jacob Davies scored 3 against some very accurate bowling, and Henry Jones managed a good 5 runs and was denied more by some very good fielding.

The aim of the game was to give the kids an insight into what under 13's cricket is all about. As 6 of todays team would be too old for under 11's next season they needed to get experience of bowling against better quality batsmen and batting in a game when losing a wicket means your batting ends.

I think this was acheived and kegworth did well to last out all 20 overs. Well done all.

Man of the match went to Henry Jones for some good bowling and batting.
