Long Whatton v Kegworth Town Cricket Club Under 11's Incrediball on Fri 03 Aug 2012 at 18:00
Kegworth Town Cricket Club Won by 126 runs
Match report
kegworth finished their incrediball season with a spectacular win at Long Whatton.
Kegworth won the toss and elected to field. Long Whatton strugled to cope with Kegworths opening bowlers of Max Lawson and Theo Walter-Aldridge with a catch off Max's Bowling and 5 wickets coming from Theo's bowling (3 catch's and 2 bowled). The next batting pair didnt fair much better with Henry Jones taking a wicket maiden in his first over caught behind by Josh Gilman. Jacob Davies struggled in his first over but in his second got his eye in which only went for 2 runs. The next bowling partnership also took 2 wickets one from Jay Werb and one from Thomas Richards. The last 4 overs where shared between Laurie Field who took 2 wickets for 2 runs and the return of Jay who got a wicket maiden in his third over and the return of Theo who also finished with a wicket maiden.
overall a very good bowling performance taking a total of 13 wickets, excellent fielding with 8 catches! 5 of those catches by Henry Jones. Long Whattons final score was 174 runs.
Kegworth went out with a heafty lead but with a threat that the scorer would deduct 10 runs if anyone got bowled. But the scorer didnt need to implement this as no one got bowled and infact the team only lost 1 wicket to a very close run out in the last over. Good batting from all saw Kegworth get to a mamouth 300 runs. Top batting scores came from the final partnership of Henry Jones and Laurie field with 16 and 14 runs.
Man of the match went to Theo Walter-Aldridge for his 6 wickets.
