Match report The Lads & Dads X1 Lost to chilwell but put up a very admirable performance in there 45 run defeat, On a cold Sunday Afternoon the smell of the local Wacky Backy keeping the Kegworth contingent in a jolly mood as Kegworth won the toss and asked Chilwell to bat first, A total of 185 all out was aided by Rizwan's quick fire 52 in his black trainers? but credit to Michael Lynch who took 3 for 38 on his 3rd team debut,and aided by a steepling catch from Mabbs in the deep..Kegworth's reply got off to a bad start with SmithDogg out early followed by Lynch and Hodgson, but with Will Wade, and Bill White at the crease it looked as though the team of ages would pull off an unlikely victory,Once Will went LBW for a top score of 36, and Bill in the same fashion for 35 the game slipped away from Kegworth who finished all out on 140, with some late shots coming from Marrable Jnr who scored 21..But in the end it was the man in the black trainers taking 4 for 9 who saw off Kegworth's valiant attempt at keeping there unbeaten start to the season alive. Thanks to Mark, Colin and Ant for helping out to make the game go ahead.
