Match report A shortened match that was fiercely contested.

Just as the match was due to start the heavens opened, so when we finally got started an hour late the game was shortened to 12 overs a side.

Kegworth batted first and Nic and George got us off to a great start scoring 18 and 19 respectively. Nic provided the acceleration and was out when the score was on 27,for 18 off 16 balls. This brought Seb to the crease. After reaching 4 off 12 balls Seb then proceeded to score 23 off one over before being bowled off the penultimate ball of the innings for 44 off 34 balls. George remained not out on 19 and Sam on 1 off 1 ball.

At the half way stage we had set a decent target that had the opposition worried.

When Loughborough batted, they got off to a slow start and were 36 for 2 at the half way stage, after a brilliant piece of fielding by Jacob Dawson to run out the opener, and a great catch by Seb off Mitch Williams bowling. A brilliant spell of pitched up bowling from Mitch to end with figures of 3 overs 1 for 13.

At the end a couple of our bowlers took some treatment as Town's 3 and 4 chased the win, getting home with 10 balls to spare.

A lot of pride can be taken in taking Town all the way and giving them a scare. Apart from that, those who were there witnessed a great game of cricket, and a fabulous innings from Seb who rightly won man of the match.
