Kegworth Town Cricket Club Under 13's B v Barrow Town 'A' on Sun 03 Jul 2011 at 10:00am
Kegworth Town Cricket Club Lost by 5 wickets
Match report
Kegworth started the first innings brightly taking three wickets in the first two overs for 15 runs, however Barrow soon got in their stride with 4 of their batsmen retiring on 25+ runs. Kegworth did manage to take 5 wickets overall. Guy Lorraine took a superb catch, run outs came from Myles Faulks, George Jones and Jamie Shaw and Joe Hampson, Harry Danzey and Tom Henson taking wickets. The innings ended with Kegworth chasing 178.
Guy Lorraine opened the batting and got his highest score of the season with 6 before being stumped. Joe Hampson made 14 making him the highest scorer this match before being caught. George Bakewell-Smith was unfortunate to be bowled by Queenborough who also took the wicket of Harry Danzey. George Jones and Tom Henson had a good partnership of 16 before Henson was caught. Sam Tricket lost his wicket to a spin bowler. Barrow's Shelton then went on to take the four wickets of Myles Faulks, Jamie Shore, Dan Lewis-Roberts and George Lacey in 1.2 overs. Kegworth finished on 63 all out.
There were many positives to take from this game, including some very good fielding and backing up and some good support/encouragement for each other particularly from Sam Trickett. Man of the match was awarded to Joe Hampson who bowled well and was the highest scoring batsman of the day.
