Kegworth Town Cricket Club Lost by 25 runs

Match report A superb game, despite the result.

We lost this game because the game started at 9am but we didn't start playing until 10am!!

We lost the toss and fielded, and dropped 5 catches and missed a couple of run out chances in Loughborough's innings. In addition we allowed too many sloppy boundaries, so we allowed Town to score far to many runs. At the end of their innings Timmy took a blinding catch diving forward before bowling one of the Town batsmen very next ball. A calamitous runout 2 balls from the end was too little too late. One positive from our bowling was that we only bowled 28 extras and Tom Waterfield only allowing 8 extras past him in the whole innings

Our innings was a joy to watch. Mikey and Nic were unlucky to get out early, but George, Alex and Seb then piled on the runs, with some late help from Timmy.

Seb smashed a six that also smashed a windscreen from a visiting supporter from Doncaster. Whilst George, Alex, Tom and Timmy all contributed very well to the match MOTM went to Seb for 28 not out and earning the club some commission from Autoglass!!!
