Match report With a bit of luck this could have gone our way.

A good performance from all of the U11’s. After a spell in the middle order where we lost 3 quick wickets the last 2 pairs of batsman played well to give the team a fighting chance.

All of them backed up well and managed to score runs off wide balls because of this and good calling – discussed these points with them before the start. It was good to see something sinking in!!

Joe Hampson score a nice four off his legs – not sure whether he intended it or was just avoiding the ball.

No silly run outs either – something else we discussed before the start.

Every one bowled well in particular Joe Hamspon who took 2 wkts (both bowled). Amber also bowled well in the last over (Wkt Maiden) with a good caught and bowled off the last ball of the match.

Throwing was excellent with the stumps being hit from long range on a number of occasions one of which produced a wicket (Tom Smith). The batsman only just made their ground on the remainder.

Joe Hampson was awarded ‘Man of the Match’ on his own merit for batting well, taking two wickets and fielding well also.
